The Power of Guilt and Shame
I think people are just so critical because we're always like hearing about people who are reckless with their money and why should they get a free pass or whatever. And I feel like we all need that attitude. Like, it's okay for other people to make decisions that you're not okay with and still be afforded basic life necessities on this earth. The next one is actually low income, which can cause a lot of guilt and shame. We really see people who are rich as good and the poor as bad.
