Donna Summers and Walter Nick's Trial

Walter Nick's trial date was delayed so that he could undergo a mental health evaluation. In February 2006, Nick's pleaded guilty to charges of sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and unlawful imprisonment in exchange for a five-year prison sentence. This new arrangement required Nick's to serve time, register as a sex offender, and testify as a witness at the pending trial of alleged scammer David Stewart. Three weeks later, Donna Summers entered an Alfred plea to her misdemeanor charge of unlawful imprisonment. She had initially intended to plead not guilty, but an agreement was struck to prevent Laura from having to testify.
