How to Train a Sheltipuppy

When people recognize that the dog has the emotional capacity of about a two or three year old, I find that very helpful. It can be so difficult explaining to clients that you can't in fact reinforce behaviors. So when I train this sheltipuppy, she has to train for kibble. She trains for higher value food. And even in learning if the value of the food is too high for the dog, then because she's perpetually starving, she's sure of it. That's how shelties are.
