The Artifacts of the Royal Cemetery
One very important artifact was identified thanks to the archaeological forethought of leonard woolley. Another artifect recovered is an ornately decorated wooden box which has been named the standard of awe. We do not know what the purpose of this wooden box is, but we do know that it was deliberately buried in a man's tomb at the royal cemetery. The box depicts events that can give us clues about the society of ar on one side, we can see the clear notion of a stratified society. Clearly there is a ruler and a le class, a ser class and royal court entertainers. One individual possibly playing the lyre that was found in one of the other burial chambers.
