The Death of American Democracy

Kennedy was in no position to end the Cold War or do meaningfully democratic governance. He was a kind of, kind of him-bohish horn dog who had, you know, some like naive instincts and did not realize who he was dealing with. Between the death of FDR and Eisenhower is when the terrain of American democracy for post-war world is determined. Those things determine everything that comes after.
