Crucified Jesus - The Crucifixion

In the gospel of john, jesus' clothes are divided into four parts. The soldiers then cast lots for his tunic to see who would get it. It was a common practice at crucifixions in Roman times when people were humiliated by seeing their leader naked. Why is this not part of how we tell the story? This depends on what tradition and liturgical season you practise. And iam not trying to create a kind of a terrifying image, but this is what the romans wanted for people to see: if you disobey the state, this is your future.
