The Three-Day Journey in Exodus

Taylor and Como, Mississippi's listened to the podcast, the Exodus series. Dr. Heiser read the three-day journey as literal and thus limiting the possible location of Mount Sinai. Can you comment on this? I need to see examples of that outside Exodus before I would consider it a possible way to interpret Exodus. And without having examples that I don't know if Taylor has any, but without examples, there's not much I can say to that.
