Emily and Amber started learning about other industrial gold mining projects that were popping up all over the eastern Sierra. They plotted a six day 200 mile route along dirt roads. Starting in Bodie, they would wind their way south to conglomerate Mesa,. Friends would join along the way, some for the whole trip, others popping in for smaller sections.
