Lillian Godmer: How do we reanimate the question of why are we doing all this? She says some people in power look at the economy and what it demands that we do to social life. Larry Summers, for example, has said five years of unemployment is needed to bring inflation under control; he's not concerned with pluralism of values she says. LillianGodmer: We should have something like praxis, like our actual practical action on the basis of practical wisdom and reflection on the ends for which we create things.
