Oxy has invested in a Canadian direct air capture startup called Carbon Engineering. The amount of energy it takes to remove one ton of CO2 is comparable to the amount of electricity my wife and I consume in an energy efficient London apartment in four months. Oxy will initially, yeah, because we'll be on the grid, which has both renewables and it has gas.
