Survivor - What's the Main Motivation for Going Back to These Franchises?

A lot of your games are deliberately referencing or simulating existing reality competition shows like the mole, survivor, big brother. Why use keep going back to these franchises? Yeah, I guess part of the reason is the fandom. It does also help to attract players to the series because they too want to express that reality TV fandom.
