Carl Bosch's Life Mission
Bosch was hired as a chemist at BASF, fresh out of university in 1899. He had an open door into his father's business and visited the workmen often to learn about pipe fitting, soldering, machining and woodwork. As a young man, he did an internship at a metal working firm, took a summer job and a blast furnace plant,. studied mechanical engineering for two years before switching to chemistry. Bosch knew something the rest of the men in the room did not. So this becomes Carl Bosch's life mission, at least at this part in his career, to find a way to scale up Haber's invention. And like the book said earlier,
