The Importance of Having a Plan

I think I set up a situation of failure for the company right out of the gate and that we were trying to prove to the board that even though things were bad we were smart enough. And it was quickly turned into an management against a board type of a situation. But eventually I learned to condition the board to let's sit on the same side of the table and look at the same problem in the same direction. The transition didn't start with the leadership team. It actually started with a combination of the leadership team and the board solving the same problems at the same time.
