The Difference Between Fear Planning and Anxiety
Anxiety is a low grade feeling that has no object in itself. It attaches to any particular situation or thought that it can. Our brains don't like uncertainty, so if there's uncertainty, it signals, Hey, you got to figure out if there's danger out there. And we all just look at our own experience and ask ourselves, do I perform better when I'm anxious? In fact, there's an inverse relationship between anxiety and performance: The more anxious you are, the worse you perform.
