Is the NHS Getting Less Effective?
Patricia Hewitt was the health secretary under Tony Blair. Jeremy Hunt has gone back to someone who presumably shares those scars on her back from delivering health service reform, says Lord Tebbit. The NHS is doing far less as a result of sustained funding increases than there was before the pandemic in 2019. Household disposable income per person is going to fall by more than 7% over the next two years - that is the biggest fall on record.
