The APL Competition - A Brief History of the Contest
I saw someone give a demo in queue, where they use the queue REPL as like PowerPoint. So I wanted to see if I could make something like that. But because this podcast had polluted my brain, I thought, okay, I'm going to try to do that all tacit in queue and write the whole thing with no curly braces. And so I started doing that for a while. And I was, and I started convincing myself,Okay, I can do this. Like it was, but then I thought this is dumb. It was definitely harder than it needed to be. What I really wanted to do was play around with APL. The deadline and the competition was coming up.
