The Story of Haiti
Haiti's parents were captured by the Nazis in World War II and interred in a concentration camp in southern France, where they would have going to be shipped off to Auschwitz. They escaped and through a series of miracles made their way north and got to Switzerland and ended up in a refugee camp. And that's where Haiti was born. "Not very few of us have a story that has that kind of drama associated with our, our beginnings," he says.
