The armies of judah, israel and edom are all teeming up against them. So they go out to fight and defend themselves or attack back. And as their in them, they see these ditches filled with water as well. But from th from their angle, it looks like blood. The moabites had let their guard down. They thought the battle was already won. That's how god won the battle by convincing the enemy that they had won. Those who fight against israel is like someone dreaming of eating food but i ow, they only atei intheir dream. You thought you succeeded, you didn't.
