The Node.js Core: A Back and Forward
In the node.js core, my job today is we do some imagine that I'm trying to consume some file. In JavaScript, we cannot consume a file. So via this bridge, we can call like, oh, C++, just return for me the whole file buffer. And then on the JavaScript side, I'm going to run some algorithm to actually put in another layer so the user can consume. That's what you're talking about in the terms of the proxy layer. Then there's all the like memory management in that whole set of things.
