Meditation Is Not a Practice

The first technique you use to be able to train that capacity is to focus on your breath. And the mindfulness is just that ity of mind which allows you to pay attention to sights and sounds and sensations without being lost in thought. Once you can pay attention, it doesn't matter what you pay attention to,. There's nothing in principle that is outside the meditation practice. You don't een need a quiet environment. You can have loud construction noises going across the street as good for meditation as anything else.
