The Four Types of Alienation

According to Marx, the bottom line here is really that alienated labor reduces us to the kinds of beings who are able to meet our animal needs. And this is what would make Marx essentially an existentialist. In capitalism, I no longer relate to other people as people that I might engage in all kinds of meaningful projects with. Rather, we only relate to one another as members of our specific class.
