The Court's Obligations on Member States in the Council of Europe

If you win, the court is going to impose what lawyers call positive obligations on member states in the Council of Europe. They will be required to reduce their carbon emissions. For many states, it won't or at least should not make a difference. The right to a healthy environment will not be meaningfully imposed, top-down by judges, but can only realistically become a reality through good faith democratic engagement with all relevant stakeholders.
