The Effects of Strength Training on Mitochondria
The swimmers here had 70% of type one fibers before starting the first 10 week period of training. High volume of endurance training leads to specific adaptations that indicate significantly higher mitochondrial content which is a key market for endurance performance mitochondria. Now let's move on to another study which has a bit more to it I think and a lot of interesting information and tidbits in these studies.
