The History of Coffee in Europe
It's thought that the way that coffee was served, broadly speaking throughout Europe at this point, it changed significantly because of what happened in Vienna. Given how bitter coffee is, the Viennese started serving it with milk and sugar which became known as a cappuccino. Coffee first caught on in some of those free cities in the cosmopolitan trading cities, such as Bremen, Hamburg in the 1670s. Once coffee caught on with the upper classes, with the aristocracy, with the big knobs who are in charge of places like Malta or France, it definitely influenced people very significantly.
