It's Casual Friday (relatively speaking), and Sam and Emma start the show with some glimmers of good news on the immigration front, following the Supreme Court's ruling that the Trump administration must make an attempt to bring home Kilmar Armando Ábrego García. The government already admitted they deported Garcia to a maximum security prison in El Salvador because of an administrative error. Sean McGarvey, the president of the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers where Garcia is a member, has demanded he be brought home.

  Sam and Emma are then joined by The Nation's national affairs correspondent Jeet Heer to break down the implications of Trump's chaotic tariff policy, which is accelerating de-dollarization, including among the U.S.'s most (normally) steadfast allies. They also break down the warped logic of Trump's immigration crackdown, including the weaponization of the immigration system for the sake of Israel. Jeet makes the point that both Democrats and Republicans have participated in the weaponization of faux concerns about antisemitism which has brought us to this moment.
