The Root of Salvation

We're born with the ability to sin and we were born with the desire to sin. Paul says he saved us not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. Good works have no power to save us or to change us. The Lord saves his people out of clear, unmixed, undiluted love and mercy and grace.
