systems biology is all about taking a global holistic view of a problem you want to study. It's not thinking just in terms of one or two elements, but thinking in terms of the networks that encode the information responsible for that particular phenotype and so forth. And this idea of systems biology then has really pervaded the world,. I would guess realistically there are probably 200 institutions across the world that have the name 'systems biology' So it's just a global holistic approach that I think is compelling. There is a future in 10 years and 50 years and what are we leaving our kids that is what's missing today and in politics for the larger part.
