What Makes a Break Effective?

Break is effective when you can really clear your head, get your attentional resources restored and replenished so that you feel fresh. The best break of all is to go outside and take a walk in nature - studies show it's restorative. But I also argue it's okay to do some simple kind of road activity, something that keeps you engaged, that's calming, that makes you happy. That's fine. As long as you can be strategic about doing it.
