Is There a Political Will to Eradicate Guinea Worm?
The greatest challenge which really lies beyond our control directly is local and border area insecurity in some of the remaining endemic countries. Of course, we could always benefit from more resources and greater political will, but those are things that tend to ebb and flow a little bit and we're able to do things about them. And we have great political will at this moment. There are more than 2,500 staff working on Guinea worm, nearly 10,000 village volunteers.
