The Man Lights a Torch and Sinks Down Into the Darkness

In scripture, it says that the man is willing to sink down into the darkness. He's doing all this for what? A chunk of gold. And yet we are so apathetic, lazy, unmoved to do the same thing was something far more precious than gold.
