Germans and Jews - Is There a Cultural Marriage?
I was deeply moved in Prince Lauerbach because on May 1st, the traditional workers holiday, neo Nazis decided that they were going to march. And I joined the barricades of 2500 of my neighbors who literally blocked the Nazis from taking steps into our terrain. Germans and Jews are both children of a cultural marriage that ended in a terrible divorce. We have a great deal in common, much more in common than we think. It's a constant struggle. To my mind, it's the basic struggle of my life.
