The Bryant's and the Everlies

Don and Felice Bryant wrote a string of hits for the Eveli brothers. Their song Wake Up Little Susie was banned on many stations because it suggested impropriety. They would write songs that fit with their lives and musical tastes, as well as fitting them to their voices. Phil Eveli was always unstinting in his praise of them, saying they were some of the best songs ever written.
