In Chinese culture, like it's kind of a matriarchy. It is right. Sort of. Once they reach a certain age and no one's a breadwinner, then at that point,. it's like the mom is the woman, the person empowered. That's pretty in line with what is portrayed in the movie. And also it was really cool to see the struggle of more traditional thinking, which is Nick, the main guy, his family. They're all from like Singapore and rich and stuff, right?
