The Rijks Museum Vermeer Show

This is an unprecedented show. I get the sense also there's an ambition to put on really big shows after the kind of two or three years of COVID pandemic and lockdowns. There were 23 at the Moritz House in 1996, but every time as the years go on, more and more lenders are going to say works are too fragile. So I think it's a bid for museums to remind people that they're relevant and they've got things to offer. The fact that the Rijks Museum has managed to assemble this is an amazing feat.
