In 1996, child support that had been 3730 and went to 10 was $16,000 a month. The next year with the youngest finally off to college, he cut that in half, but continued to pay Patricia $9,000 amonth. In 2000, Steve purchased a 2,340 square foot apartment, three bedrooms on Central Park West for them and priced it at $1,500 a month in perpetuity. He presumably thinking that Patricia could then feel secure in having forever housing even after the kids were off doing their own thing.
