FERC and Russia's Invasion of Ukraine - The Geopolitical Element

I'm very proud of the work that we did at FERC during my tenure as chair and as a commissioner. We really worked hard to streamline the process, to eliminate duplicative regulations. I pushed to open an office in Houston, Texas, which is sort of the epicenter of energy in the US. And it would also have a positive environmental benefit that clean US LNG displacing dirty or Russian gas would actually lower global carbon emissions. The geopolitical element of this is more significant than ever.
