Spinoza: Attributes are super added, they're accidental, not essential. To say that God somehow doesn't have what you would consider to be an attribute is to diminish the concept of God. But conversely, he was saying when you talk about rational thinking, if you are of clear mind and intellect, that is essentially what is being referred to as in the image of God. So I think there are some steps that he goes through to get to the ultimate negative theology.
