The Cold War Entrepreneurs' Conflict With the Asia Foundations

Chinese filmmakers aspired since 1935 to bring Chinese cinema to the group audience and ultimately to compete with Hollywood. They thought the best Chinese movie was a film that Hollywood could not do that was to bring Chinese culture and tradition into the into the screen. In 1950s new Asia pictures they wanted to give agency to the local actors his interest was to support Taiwan so he create a large of conflicts with the Asia foundations. The chapter will look at in detail how their conflict come into being and how they negotiate the whole things.
