There's so much shame or there's this culture of shame that's really connected to what we do want. And I think that one of the things that is the most heartbreaking to me is that in the past couple of years with the Me Too movement and beyond, we have been very loudly and clearly telling men what we don't want. But why are you not considered a strong woman for chasing after a man the way that men chase after a woman? That same denigration,. It's like the old adage of why buy the milk when you can get the cow or for however it goes. The idea that that made her desperate in the eyes of some was so upsetting to me.
