I think that the whole myth of the starting artist is romanticized for the wrong reasons and I believe that it's not serving anybody. People like to romanticize and stay in the pain and say the art is pure and this trouble is beautiful because those are also mechanisms of defense for people to not do what they have to do. Not everybody is an artist but everyone has a very special unique gift which can be well received in the world.
