cosmopolitanism is about seeing all human beings inter connected and invested in the fate of our planet. It involves an attitude of openness to different people and places and traditions. Nationalism by contrast, implies that we have special duties to our co nationals. But doctor fine rejects this. She says obligations to people abroad might well outweigh those to fellow nationals.
