How Did You Get Into Yale?
I think it was a few factors. I had obviously good grades and SAT scores. My high school was also pretty small, which meant I was able to really stand out. So if you were a kid who had close to perfect SATs and really high grades and got really nice recommendations for your teachers, that actually meant a little more coming from my high school than it might have meant coming from some other places. It would not surprise me if I would not have gotten in had I applied with the exact same resume five years later.
