Is Ukraine Any Closer to EU Membership?
Ukraine is technically on a path as of June last year. But if you look at what's happened to other countries who are in a similar position, Turkey's been in that position for the best part of 20 years. And no one thinks that, despite the Ukrainian government's desire to try and fast-track its membership in the next two years, that is even remotely possible. Rana: I think EU membership is like a carrot that is dangling in front of Ukraine and encourages it not to forget about its promises...
