Professor Irfan Nuhruddin is the Hamad bin Khalifa, professor of Indian politics in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. His books published by Cambridge University Press include elections in hard times, building stronger democracies in the 21st century. He's even testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In his new book The Every Day Crusade, Christian nationalism in American politics, co-authored with Eric McDaniel and Alison Shortle, he talks about America's religious exceptionalism.
