Media Methane
Media methane was supposed to be a digital ad agency dedicated to helping customers deliver advertisements to internet users. Instead of taking those ads and serving them on real sites that they had deals with with real eyeballs going to them, Media methane rented thousands of computer servers located at commercial data centers in the US and elsewhere. Victims of the scheme include companies like New York Post, Comcast, Nestle, Purina, Time Warner Cable.
