The Broken Cross
In 1974's The Broken Cross, we meet a scantily clad hitchhiker who is taken to the road because her fundamentalist family has been shoving religion down her throat. As our heroes begin poking around for clues, they quickly find out that everyone from the police chief to the town's pastor are in on the demonic plot as told by the illustrations of their evil little smirks. In just such a deeply homoerotic scene, ironically reminiscent of gay illustrations by Tom of Finland, Jim sits up in the hotel bed shirtless as Tim says for some reason, good morning bright eyes. His own biceps almost ripping through his green turtleneck.
