I never read National Lampoon at the time. Like, I wasn't the audience for it. So so many of those pieces just kind of went away,. except now, of course, with the Internet, you can read everything. And quite honestly, I didn't even include some of the worst pieces that you wrote. There were some that were just shocking. But writing comedy doesn't give you the permission to say horrific, hateful things. It was pretty much like he could do no wrong in my eyes.
