Kombucha's thought to have originated a couple of thousand years ago. Possibly it's from China, although nobody really seems to agree. Some say the name is a mashup of Kombu and Cha - which means tea. But these days, people are more interested in brand names. We crack open a few bottles of this so-called elixir of life.
