How to Reduce Intracranial Pressure
One of the most powerful ways you can approach intracranial hypertension is by draining CSF out of the patient. As an anesthesiologist, this probably isn't something that you're going to initiate. You need to have a conversation with your neurosurgical colleagues about what the most appropriate volume drainage is. It's one of those things that requires good communication between the anesthesiologist and the surgeon to know whether this has happened.
