Gold has a very low inflation rate. All the gold in existence is still here and it goes up by about 1.5% per year. But on dollars on the other hand, have been going up for much, much, much faster. And so with that context, you can understand how the financial system works. Of course, you now understand why central banks want the inflation to raise on so they can make that debt cheaper and cheaper and cheaper.
